Fishing

Captain Bryce Michel is a true southern Bayou boy. Born and raised in South Terrebone parish Michel spent his entire life fishing the bayous, bays and the Louisiana coast.

After graduating high school he went on to serve our country in the army. His years were spent overseas in Germany and Europe, he was also called to support in desert storm in 1991. Upon returning to the United States he quickly found roots in his passion for fishing and received his Captain's license, which he proudly holds for well over 20 years.

His dream of owning an all-inclusive fishing experience finally came to fruition in 2000, when he purchased his first camp in Cocodrie Louisiana.
Top Water Charters has grown since then and now he runs and operates three all-inclusive camps designed for the master fisherman to the weekend warrior. He has well over 20 captains he has worked with over the years that share his same passion.

Captain Michel proudly is expanding his operation into the Texas Coast in Matagorda. There too he will offer an all-inclusive fishing experience for those Texas fishing lovers a little closer to home..the camp comfortably sleeps 5/6 people, and is a short drive from downtown Houston located in Sargent Texas.

Gaining Experience

Captain Bryce started a carrier as a Marketing/Salesperson. He realized quickly that the clients he meets all wanted to fish. This is the point that Captain Bryce put his plan together. Captain Bryce landed a Sales Manager Job with Louisiana Sportsman Magazine (8 years). Performing this Job allowed him to learn from the best lodge owners in Louisiana.

The creation of Topwater Charters LLC was created in 1998.

In the year 2001 I bought the first Camp/lodge. Topwater lodge was then created. Topwater Lodge specialiazes in a turn key fishing experience. Food, Fishing and Fun. In almost 20 years we have specialized in taking care of corporate/Large groups with keeping the personalization and quality.

No pressure, no hype, just full wheel barrows of fish.

The years have now passed and we are now a three lodge facility providing incredible quality. We have learned how to make clients happy. The captains, fishing, lodging and experience are second to none.
